Medium voltage junction box 24kV

The 24 kV connection box from Prysmian is designed for the safe connection of two power cables between a fixed and a movable part of an installation. The box is suitable for medium-voltage applications where reliability, safety, and flexibility are essential.

The main enclosure provides space for three ceramic terminal supports for double clamp connections with conductor cross-sections up to 150 mm² or 300 mm², or for the connection of elbow connectors/cone-type plugs. These can be mounted on a large mounting panel with fixing brackets, or on a plate suitable for terminations of the RSTI-68TP type, compatible with RSTI cone-type plugs up to 42 kV.

The enclosure also features an inspection window, allowing for safe visual inspection while the box remains energized.

The housing system includes an auxiliary compartment for connecting monitoring, control, and fiber-optic systems. A heating element can also be installed to prevent condensation. In addition, the box is equipped with a safety sensor that detects when the enclosure is opened.

Two internal grounding connections are available (each 3x M10 and 3x M12). Various cable entry systems can be installed using interchangeable adapter rings.
